NESH RUG is made from 100% unprocessed natural wool in the Agelmous mountainous region of Morocco. Female artisans use a traditional hand-knotting technique passed down through generations to create a dense shaggy texture that harnesses a timeless simplicity.
The thick texture is created using a little weft between the knots on the loom, which are then trimmed to different lengths to accentuate dimension. The rug is washed and left to bask in the hot Moroccan sun. Once dry, it is twice brushed to give a soft silky finish.

The Khnu village women first gather the vines named the Piad (pronounced pee-adt in Lao). The female artisans extract the fiber from the bark vines, dry out and then spin into a strong yarn before knitting the bags together using bamboo needles. A slight variation in color, texture, and pattern is possible, as each market bag is weaved together by several different women.
